Based at the Coeur d'Alene Airport in northern Idaho, Empire Aerospace has a modern maintenance facility with specialized departments providing state-of-the-art maintenance for your aircraft. We've been maintaining aircraft since our inception as Clearwater Flying Service in 1977. As an airline, we understand and appreciate your needs -- and we deliver!
Heavy Maintenance Professionals
Empire Aerospace got its start performing heavy checks on Twin Otters and Beech 99s for the Forest Service. In 1988, we were contracted by FedEx to fly and maintain Caravan 208s. Since 1990, we have been performing heavy checks on FAR 121 aircraft. In 2006, we received our Part 145 Certificate and added Bombardier 8 all series, Embraer EMB 120 all series, Saab 240 all series and the Cessna C208 all series to our Ops Specs.
Empire Aerospace recognizes the role of quality avionics technicians in the overall scheme of heavy maintenance. Operating under our Part 145 CRS, we inspect and certify transponders, altimeters (on the aircraft or the bench), pitot/static systems, ULBs and more.
We have years of training and hands-on experience in advanced aerospace composites, including carbon, glass, Aramid Prepregs, sandwich panels, reinforcement fabrics, landing gear doors and fairings, galleys, wing to body, wing assemblies, flight control surfaces, pylons, cargo flooring, ceilings, sidewalls and more.
